Hooters Casino Hotel
Located right off the corner of the strip on Tropicana Avenue, I remember when this hotel was called the San Remo. Hooters management hasn’t done much to change the tacky tropical color scheme but for deals as low as $30 a night, who’s complaining. The rooms are equal to that of motels and very small. This video shows a weird bar stools setup in the corner of the room. I guess they’re really shooting for that tropical bar theme feel.
Vdara at CityCenter Opening 12/01/09
Vdara’s grand opening is December 1, 2009. It’s part of the mega complex that is CityCenter. This short video gives a sneak preview of the entrance and building. Very impressive.
Red Rock Casino, Resort & Spa
Red Rock is located about 10 miles away from the Las Vegas strip and about 10 minutes away from Red Rock canyon. Standard rooms are up to date and modern as you’ll see in this video. This resort rarely offers low discounted room rates and tend to be just as expensive as the high end Vegas strip hotels.
Sahara Hotel Suite
The Sahara hotel is located on the north end of the Las Vegas strip. The hotel has done some minor changes through the years to try to keep up with the mega resorts. Despite the changes, the rooms still look outdated as you’ll see from this video.
On a positive note, their room rates are some of the lowest on the strip. A suite like the one in this video would be equivalent to a standard room rate at Bellagio or Venetian.
